The Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences announces the competition for a PhD Student Research Assistant position in the project Structures and Futures: the Polish Panel Study POLPAN 1988-2023

We seek a PhD student in sociology, political science, psychology, economics, statistics, or another social science,to join as research assistant (RA) in the project “Structures and Futures: Polish Panel Study POLPAN 1988-2023.”
This project is funded by the National Science Centre, Poland (2022/45/B/HS6/04090).

We offer an opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary research team with considerable international collaboration and joint publications. The position offers a scientific stipend of up to PLN 4,250/month (net), paid for 12 months. The Institute of Philosophy and Sociology PAN is an equal opportunity employer.

Required professional qualifications, verified on the basis of the submitted application (in English) and during the personal interview:

PhD student in good standing in the social sciences (e.g. sociology, psychology, economics, political science)
Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written (at the level of min. C1)
Knowledge of basic statistical methods used in the social sciences, including multivariate linear and logistic regression analysis
Experience with software (R/STATA) for statistical analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Willingness to work in an international research team
