I am a sociologist and cultural studies scholar conducting research on both theoretical approaches in social sciences and humanities, as well as on social and cultural transformations of the contemporary condition. In the first area, my analyses concern, among others, theories of culture, discourses of modernity, and sociological reflections on the Holocaust. My research in the second area covers such issues as social and cultural consequences of the development of new technologies, contemporary dimensions of nostalgia, the social aspects of the climate crisis
