| Skrócony biogram | Dr. Alona Tron is a historian working on the history of the Second World War, diaspora and memory studies as well as oral and public history. Until 2023, she worked at the Chair of Global Ukrainian Studies at the Faculty of History, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, teaching courses on diaspora studies, public, local and oral history. As a lecturer in oral history, she led a number of oral history projects, including a project on documenting eyewitness testimonies of the current Russian-Ukrainian war, carried out in cooperation with the Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II. Since 2022, she has been investigating the civic activity of Ukrainians in Germany. She is a member of the Memory Studies Association (MSA), the Ukrainian Oral History Association (UOHA), and the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM). Since 2024, Alona Tron has been working at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences as a postdoc within the U-CORE project. |
