The book launch of Dr. Edit Zgut-Przybylska, who will present her book, Informal Power in Hungary and Poland

The Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IFiS PAN) is pleased to invite you to the book launch of Dr. Edit Zgut-Przybylska, who will present her book, Informal Power in Hungary and Poland (Routledge).

The event will take place on 25 March 2026, 14:00–16:00, at IFiS PAN, Nowy Świat 72, 00-330 Warsaw, room 268.

The discussion will be chaired by Dr. Karolina Zbytniewska, with distinguished discussants: Professor Radosław Markowski, Dr. Ilona Wysmułek, and Professor Grzegorz Makowski.

This launch is a special event within the European Studies Unit seminar series, “The Making of European Society: Towards a Sociology of European Integration.”Held shortly before upcoming Hungaria elections, the event will combine scholarly debate with a broader reflection on the political context and the role of informal power in electoral processes.
