I am a sociologist and cultural studies scholar conducting research on both theoretical and methodological approaches in social sciences and humanities, as well as on social and cultural transformations of the contemporary condition. In the first area, my analyses concern, among others, theories of culture, discourses of modernity, and critical theory. My research in the second area covers such issues as: contemporary dimensions of nostalgia, transformations of consumer culture, as well as social and cultural consequences of the development of new technologies
