Competition for the position of Editor in Chief of “Filozofia i Nauka. Studia Filozoficzne i Interdyscyplinarne”

The Director of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IFiS PAN) announces an open competition for the position of Editor-in-Chief of the academic journal “Filozofia i Nauka. Studia Filozoficzne i Interdyscyplinarne” (https:/ filozofiainauka.studiafilozoficzne.edu.pl/) for the term 2025-2031. FiN is a journal of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology Polish Academy of Sciences. Since its first issue in 2013 FiN has focused all the philosophical problems which are related to science, in particular
a) philosophical problems which adopt results of science as objectives of analyses, sources of information or inspirations;
b) epistemology and methodology;
c) investigations of relations between science and lifeworld, social reality and culture.

Contents of the announcement

The candidates are asked to send their applications in the electronic form to secretar@ifispan.edu.pl, by March, 16 2025 (subject: Application for Editor in Chief, Filozofia i Nauka). The Committee appointed by the Director of IFiS PAN reserves the right to conduct interviews with candidates selected based on their applications, either in-person or online, in the second half of March, 2025 The Editor in Chief will be nominated by the Director of IFiS PAN after knowing the determinations of the Committee.
